Firstly, there will be 1 more additional team instead of the normal 11 teams. Well...actually in the 1st place, there should be 2 additional teams that will be competing. However, team USF1 has pack their bags before the 1st race even started!
So lets preview the teams as well as their drivers in my order (blog aku..suka aku ar..hehe):
Team Name: Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro.
Chassis & Engine: F10 Ferrari.
Team Principal: Stefano Domenicali.
Drivers: Felipe Massa & Fernando Alonso.
Test Drivers: Giancarlo Fisichella & Luca Badoer.
Preview: As Kimi Raikonnen (my favourite driver) has taken his leave to join rally, Fernando Alonso with his big financial back up has replace The Iceman and partnering Massa. Ferrari will always be the championship contender. With Jean Todt as the FIA boss, there are no new crazy rules that might jeoperdize Ferrari or Mclaren long development for this season. Expecting both of the drivers to blaze the front of the orders.
Possible final position: 1st Alonso & 3rd for Massa. 1st for Constructor.
Team Name: Scuderia Toro Rosso.
Chassis & Engine: STR5 Ferrari.
Team Principal: Franz Tost.
Drivers: Sebastian Buemi & Jamie Alguersuari.
Test Driver: Daniel Ricciardo.
Team Name: Mercedes GP Petronas.
Chassis & Engine: MGP W01 Mercedes.
Team Principal: Ross Brawn.
Drivers: Michael Schumacher & Nico Rosberg.
Test Drivers: Nick Heidfeld.
Team Preview: Replacing the reigning constructors champion, Brawn GP.... Mercedes GP will be struggling to compete with the big boys of F1. With Michael Schumacher backs from his retirement, it will be hard to see him beating with the like of Alonso, Massa, Hamilton, Button or even fellow countryman, Vettel.
Possible final position: 6th for Schumi & 10th for Rosberg. 5th for Constructor.
Team Name: Vodafone McLaren.
Chassis & Engine: MP4-25 Mercedes.
Team Principal: Martin Whitmarsh.
Drivers: Lewis Hamilton & Jenson Button.
Test Driver: Gary Paffett.
Preview: With both of the drivers has won the title previously, it will be hard to see if they can work as a team in the British racing team. Expecting no favourism from the team boss as both of the drivers has plenty to prove.
Possible Final position: 4th & 5th between both of them. Will be the 1st runner-up for the constructor.
Team Name: Renault F1
Chassis & Engine: R30 Renault.
Team Principal: Eric Boullier.
Drivers: Robert Kubica & Vitaly Petrov.
Test Driver: Ho-Pin Tung
Tean Preview: With all the contreversy has put in the past. The new team are hoping for a better position this year. With Kubica as their driver, there are possibility for a few podium finish given the car performance that is. Vitaly Petrov not only become a few of the new drivers in this season, he is the 1st F1 drivers hail from Russia. Will be among the top 10 finish. No way they are going to win the constructors but the car look nice tho.
Possible finishing position: Top 10 for both the constructors as well as the drivers.
Team Name: BMW Sauber F1.
Chassis & Engine: C29 Ferrari.
Team Principal: Peter Sauber.
Drivers: Pedro De La Rosa & Kamui Kobayashi.
Team Preview: As Peter Sauber bought the team at the 11th hour from BMW, Sauber has manage to sign good drivers for the team. Kinda weird when the team name not the same as the engine use.
Team Name: AT&T Williams F1.
Chassis & Engine: FW32 Cosworth.
Team Principal: Frank Williams.
Drivers: Rubens Barichello & Nico Hulkenberg.
Test Drivers: Valtteri Bottas.
Team Name: Force India F1.
Chassis & Engine: VJM03 Mercedes.
Team Principal: Vijay Mallya.
Drivers: Adrian Sutil & Vitantonio Liuzzi.
Test Driver: Paul Di Resta.
Team Preview: Suprising packages of last season. The car perform way better than the Mclaren at some of the races. Hoping to see more of Sutil as well as Luizzi in the top 10 finish.
Team Name: Red Bull Racing.
Chassis & Engine: RB6 Renaut.
Team Principal: Christian Horner.
Drivers: Sebastian Vettel & Mark Webber.
Team Preview: With Vettel almost snatching the Drivers title from Button last season, expecting the German to fire all cylinders for his 1st driver title this year. Has all the criteria to be the world champion. Currently my favourite driver (as Kimi on leave). While team mate Webber to finish strong as well.
Possible finishing position: 2nd for Vettel and 6th for Webber. Will be 2nd runners up on the constructors.
Team Name: Campos Meta 1.
Chassis & Engine: CM1 Cosworth.
Team Principal: Adrian Campos.
Driver: Bruno Senna & Karun Chandok.
Team Preview: Yup. He is Aryton Senna nephew. So its kinda great to see the legend continue. The blood are the same, but we have yet to see whether Bruno can perform like what his uncle has done previously. Another new team for this season.
Team Name: Virgin Racing.
Chassis & Engine: VR-01 Cosworth.
Team Principal: John Booth.
Drivers: Timo Glock & Lucas Di Grassi.
Test Drivers: Alvaro Parente & Luiz Razia.
Team Preview: Another new team. Following last season participation as Brawn GP Principal sponsor, Sir Richard Branson has set up a team of his own for this season. Have a bet to settle with Tony Fernandes.
Team Name: Lotus F1 Racing.
Chassis & Engine: T127 Cosworth.
Team Principal: Riaz Asmat.
Drivers: Jarno Trulli & Hekki Kovalainen.
Test Driver: Fairuz Fauzi.
Team Preview: Not a new team. Team making a comeback is right term. Malaysian should be proud of this project realize by Proton, Naza, Air Asia and of coz the gomen. Wont finish top 10. It will be good if the team manage to upstage Virgin Racing. It will be nice to see Sir Richard Branson wearing Air Asia Stewardess dress.

New Season normally come with new rules. So for this new season....
1. Fuel Tanks - Starting with this season, all drivers will have their tanks full on the starting grid. The fuel tanks will be 2x larger than last season. So there will be different strategies compare to previos years. It might make the pit stop faster coz drivers will only come in to change the tyres only.
2. Point Scoring system - Race Winner will get 25 point, 1st runner up get 18 point, 2nd runner up get 15 and follow with 12-10-8-6-4-2-1 for the following pack.
3. No refuelling during pit stop - In related with no.1.
Other changes are minimum with FIA maintaining the usage of KERS like last season. However, from the sources, FOTA or the drivers association has ban the usage of KERS.
As the season has kick on to the 1st gear, lets hope that our team as well as fav driver do well for this season.
C U @ the chequered flag....
